Sonnie's Journeywith Alzheimer's:

Spray and Wash, You know that stuff you spray on your clothes when they get stained or extra dirty.  I buy it by the gallon.  I’ve always been a little messy and now Sonnie has a knack of trying to match the front of her shirt to look like mine.  Most of the time it is when we are sitting on the couch watching TV and I give her a dish of ice cream with chocolate syrup on top.

These are a MUST HAVE when you are caring for someone with dementia.  The Digital Picture Frame!  Joni & John gave us one (already to go) that we keep here by the computer.  Jake & Cheryl gave us one (already to go) that we keep by the couch in the family room.  I don’t remember how many pictures they hold but they are set up as slide shows and we spend a lot of time watching things from our past.  Cheryl scanned pictures taken years ago from pictures albums when Sonnie was a baby.  Even some of her old boyfriends, and they are all in this little micro chip.  OH, what will they think of next!
