Salinas Dance Teacher Releases Book on Murder
It's the fourth book for Lisa Eisemann, profiling Salinas' violent past and the history of crime in the city she's called home for decades along with her husband, a former Salinas police officer.
She released, "Murder, Salinas Style: Book Three, He Shot the Sheriff," which tells a fascinating story of Salinas violence back in 1898-1899. The case of the murdered sheriff, killed downtown near her dance studio, included a lynch mob, courtroom theatrics and went all the way to the California State Supreme Court.
Book Signings are next week as follows: Tues., May 29th 7-8 p.m. Steinbeck Library Friday, June 1st
